I Run to You With an Open Growler

   Seeing as this is my first post and I am new to the beer blogging industry, let me take a moment to tell you about myself and some of what you can expect from this blog.
 
   My name is Mark and I have been enjoying craft beer since the day I turned 21. At least that's what I am legally obligated to say, right? I have always been a supporter of local shopping and the little guy, but the real turning point for me was when I watched the movie "Beer Wars" (if you haven't seen it then go now, seriously right now) and saw how much power the large beer companies had over the craft brewer. Then and there I told myself that I was never going to buy a macro produced beer ever again! However, I did not go as far to say that I would not drink one cause, let's face it, beer is beer right! So thus, my adventure began.

   I am writing this blog for a few reasons. 1) I want to share my love of beer with everyone else in the world. 2) I want to learn from the rest of the craft community and deepen my knowledge of beer. 3) I am an every man and I want to provide that point of view for other guys (or gals) like me who don't know all the technical terms.

   In this blog I will write about my different beer-ventures including, but not limited to, experiences, reviews, conventions, brewery visitations and home brewing successes and failures. Reader be warned, there may be posts about cigars and/or scotch sprinkled in here and there.

   Now that you have an idea of what to expect, I hope you stick around for the journey.
